HeatUp underfloor heating mats provide reliable, consistent warmth across your floor using a pre-wired, self-adhesive cable mat that sits directly beneath your floor covering. Available in two power outputs — 150W/m² and 200W/m² — and 16 mat sizes from 1m² to 12m², there is an option to suit most rooms and heating requirements.

Choosing Between 150W/m² and 200W/m²

The 150W/m² mat is well suited to well-insulated rooms and standard domestic applications such as bathrooms and kitchens where it can function as a primary heat source. The 200W/m² mat delivers greater heat output per square metre, making it a better choice for areas with higher heat loss, such as conservatories, rooms with large expanses of glazing, or spaces where faster warm-up times are a priority.

Compatible Floor Types

HeatUp mats are compatible with a wide range of floor finishes suitable for electric underfloor heating, including:

• Engineered wood (check manufacturer compatibility)

How It Works

The mat consists of a heating cable pre-woven onto a 0.5m-wide fibreglass mesh. The self-adhesive backing holds the mat flat during installation, and the cable is then embedded in tile adhesive, self-levelling compound, or a suitable floor build-up depending on your floor type. A cold tail connects the mat to your thermostat or direct mains connection.

The mat can be cut through the mesh to change direction and navigate around obstacles — the heating cable itself must never be cut or shortened.

Installation

HeatUp mats are suitable for competent DIY installation. The mat should be laid out across the prepared subfloor, adhered in position, and connected to the thermostat or consumer unit by a qualified electrician. Any electrical connection works that are required by Part P of the Building Regulations must be carried out by a registered competent person.

We recommend testing the mat’s resistance with a multimeter before, during, and after installation to confirm the cable is undamaged throughout the process.
